It is good to know that if it becomes defective or stops working, you're covered though.
I remember Lovehoney used to offer a 1-year satisfaction promise on all their products. You could buy something, use it for nearly a year, then return it, stating you weren't happy with it and they would give you a full refund. I think they withdrew it because people were abusing it.
But so far as a warranty goes, that is different, I'm sure they have factored into their prices the cost of offering such a warranty. Besides the price of a machine ~£1k means you want peace-of-mind. Plus I think after 11 years you will have probably got the most out of a machine.
